DESCRIPTION:The ECO-BOSQUE-RÍOSAR project gives continuity to the recovery work that the City Council of Santiago de Compostela has been carrying out for years\, reinforcing the role of river corridors as backbone elements of the city’s green infrastructure and making it a space more resilient to the effects of climate change and more adapted to flood risk. \nThis project is supported by the Biodiversity Foundation of the Ministry for Ecological Transition and the Demographic Challenge (MITECO) within the framework of the Recovery\, Transformation and Resilience Plan (RTRP)\, funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU.

SUMMARY:V Forum on the Environment and Local World
DESCRIPTION:This conference aims to be a meeting point between all public and private agents in the field of sustainability\, and is aimed at technical and political representatives from the 311 municipalities of the province of Barcelona as well as entities and companies in the sector. \nThe Forum will offer inspiring presentations\, working groups and spaces for exchange on thematic itineraries: the energy transition and climate action\, the naturalisation of cities and towns and socio-environmental challenges. \nThe Forum includes an itinerary of ‘Naturalization of cities and towns‘ in which it is planned to organize a round table in which people with a professional career recognized on the national and international scene will participate. The session will establish different reflections and debates around concepts such as Nature-Based Solutions (NBS)\, adaptation\, resilience and the transformation of these spaces.    \nThe director of the Biodiversity Foundation\, Elena Pita\, will participate in a round table that will take place on Tuesday  28 February between 1 p.m. and 2.30 p.m. .
