SUMMARY:Climate Action Sevilla Summit
DESCRIPTION:Climate Action Sevilla Summit is a strategic meeting\, co-organised by Fibes\, which is presented as a meeting point for all economic sectors involved in sustainability and climate restoration\, and as a catalyst for public-private collaboration in this field. This event will take place on July 5 and 6.  \nIt welcomes the best experts and practitioners in the field of sustainability\, climate action and the green and blue economy\, through a series of presentations\, case studies and round tables. \nUnder the slogan “Preserving the planet for the future: action\, adaptation and resilience”\, this new edition will pay special attention to issues such as major energy projects and alternatives\, such as green hydrogen and biofuels\, policies for the preservation of biodiversity\, the impacts of climate change on the food system\, and the relationship between climate change and sustainable development. \nOn July 6\, the session ‘Policies for the Preservation of Biodiversity’ will take place\, in which the following will take part: \n\nMaría Jesús Rodríguez. DESCRIPTION:Elena Pita\, director of the Biodiversity Foundation\, participates on July 17 at 12 noon in the opening ceremony of the meeting “The Cities We Want: Implementation of the European Mission of Cities in Spain”\, organized by the 2023 Summer Courses of the Menéndez Pelayo International University (UIMP). \nThis event is part of the Cities 2030 Mission: ‘One hundred smart and climate-neutral cities by 2030’. \nThe European Mission for Climate Neutral Cities is an initiative of the European Commission that promotes the sustainable transformation of European cities to mitigate the effects of climate change. Spain has taken a leading role in it thanks to the leadership of its cities\, the ecosystem of organisations – from the private\, social and academic sector – and the support of citiES 2030.
