SUMMARY:V Forum on the Environment and Local World
DESCRIPTION:This conference aims to be a meeting point between all public and private agents in the field of sustainability\, and is aimed at technical and political representatives from the 311 municipalities of the province of Barcelona as well as entities and companies in the sector. \nThe Forum will offer inspiring presentations\, working groups and spaces for exchange on thematic itineraries: the energy transition and climate action\, the naturalisation of cities and towns and socio-environmental challenges. \nThe Forum includes an itinerary of ‘Naturalization of cities and towns‘ in which it is planned to organize a round table in which people with a professional career recognized on the national and international scene will participate. The session will establish different reflections and debates around concepts such as Nature-Based Solutions (NBS)\, adaptation\, resilience and the transformation of these spaces.    \nThe director of the Biodiversity Foundation\, Elena Pita\, will participate in a round table that will take place on Tuesday  28 February between 1 p.m. and 2.30 p.m. .

After 10 years of experience\, the IEEB begins a new stage to align itself with the new regulatory context and the needs of the business fabric and provide it with greater ambition. This webinar aims to publicise the actions contemplated in the State Strategic Plan for Natural Heritage and Biodiversity 2030 in relation to the generation of knowledge on natural heritage and biodiversity and the Nature Data Bank\, in addition to collecting the needs and suggestions for knowledge of the business fabric.

DESCRIPTION:Elena Pita\, director of the Biodiversity Foundation (MITECO) participates in session 3 of the Welfare Congress that takes place on March 3\, 4 and 5 at the Alkazar Theater in Plasencia. He will take part in a session entitled “Nature and the food industry”\, in which he will share a table with Federico Buyolo\, director of cultural innovation at the José Ortega y Gasset-Gregorio Marañon Foundation. The food industry is one of the sectors that has the greatest impact on the environment after fossil fuels. What is the role of pedagogy in promoting sustainable food? How to design public policies to promote food and environmental health? What should be the role of traditional media and networks in expanding public understanding of food science and technologies? These and many more questions will be answered at this table.
